How to change a lighter for flint

Step 1 To replace the flint, first prepare the tools: a small butane lighter and a small flat head screwdriver.

Step 2 Remove one side of the gear. Use a screwdriver to remove the wheel from the butane lighter. Place your hand on top of the lighter and gently pry the wheel pin out of the plastic frame.

Step 3. Remove the other side of the gear, loosen one side of the gear, and gently pull the wheel out of the other side. The spring holding the flint will bounce the flint, so keep your hand bright.

Step 4. Cut the longer flint. The flint obtained from the butane lighter may be a bit large, so it will need to be cut in half, simply place the flint on a cutting board, take a sharp knife and place it in the middle of the flint to cut the flint.
